In tomorrow’s episode of the interior creature in communion podcast, Sunita Kumar of @successandspirit and the Cosmic Alarm Clock podcast and I talk all about Saturn’s transit through Capricorn into Aquarius, and from Aquarius into Pisces.
In this first of two posts, I wanted to give Saturn in Aquarius folks (and those of us with our natal Saturn elsewhere) a chance to reflect on the changes ushered in by this energy before we prepare for Saturn’s big move into Pisces.
Let me set the scene: Saturn first moved out of Capricorn and into Aquarius on March 21st of 2020. Gee, I wonder what was happening in the world around March of 2020? 🤧😷🤒😑😩 Saturn then went Retrograde for a bit and moved back into Capricorn on July 1st, 2020 until finally going direct and moving into Aquarius for the remainder of the transit on December 17th of 2020 until tomorrow, March 7th, when Saturn moves into Pisces.
Feeling reflective? SAME.
Feeling optimistic about the new energy Pisces will bring? SAME!
But before we celebrate Saturn in Pisces, here are some journal prompts to help you lovingly release & make peace with the past few years of Saturn in Aquarius :)
Saturn in Gate 60 | The Gate of Acceptance
The first stop on Saturn’s tour of Aquarius was Gate 60, the Gate of Acceptance. Now, Saturn probably LOVED spending time here, because Saturn brings an energy of contraction and accountability, and Gate 60 is all about how we handle obstacles and limitations.
Reflection Prompts:
Do you consider yourself to be a tenacious person? Has that perception shifted/changed since March of 2020? How and why?
How has your relationship to limitations and obstacles evolved during Saturn’s time in Aquarius? Do you find yourself to be more or less solution-oriented? Why, or why not?
In which area(s) of your life have you experienced contraction or an adjustment in terms of structure or expectations? How has this adjustment shown you what is working for you, and what’s working against you?
Saturn in Gate 41 | The Gate of Contraction
The next stop on Saturn’s tour of Aquarius was Gate 41, the Gate of Contraction, another spot Saturn probably felt super at home. Gate 41 is all about how we navigate the pressure to turn our fantasy into reality.
Reflection Prompts:
How did this Saturn in Aquarius period illuminate the gap between your fantasy life and your lived experience?
Were you motivated during the past few years to make any big changes that would take you closer to making your dreams a reality? What were they? And have you seen the fruits of your labor?
Saturn in Gate 19 | The Gate of Wanting
Next, Saturn moved into Gate 19, the Gate of Wanting, which asks us to examine how we handle the pressure associated with caregiving.
Reflection Prompts:
Over the past few years, how has your relationship to caregiving changed and evolved? Or has it?
Over the past few years, have you deepened your ability to ask for and truly receive help and support? Why or why not?
Over the past few years, have you been able to really home in on the difference between what you want and what you need? How are those two things different? And how are they related?
Saturn in Gate 13 | The Gate of the Listener
Saturn then moved from Gate 41 into Gate 13, the Gate of the Listener, which is one of our empathy-building gates. Gate 13 asks us to get quiet and create a safe container for others to share of the deepest, truest parts of themselves with us.
Reflection Prompts:
During the past few years, which of your relationships have deepened? What role has listening played in that deepening?
During the past few years, which of your relationships have stagnated? What role has sharing of yourself, and their sharing in return, played in the stagnation?
During the past few years, how has your relationship to sharing the deepest, truest, most vulnerable parts of yourself evolved? Who gets access to those parts of you?
Do you feel like your relationships are balanced between sharing and listening? Why or why not?
Saturn in Gate 49 | The Gate of Principles
From Gate 13, Saturn moved into Gate 49, the Gate of Principles, bringing an energy of disruption and accountability to our interpersonal relationships.
Reflection Prompts:
Saturn tends to put pressure on areas of our lives where we’re out of alignment. Have you felt this tension present in any of your relationships? Which ones? Why? And how has that tension manifested?
Over the past few years, has your social circle shifted? Do those in your community share the same ethics, morals, and values as you?
What would relationships anchored in shared principles feel like? How are these feelings different to (or similar to) the relationships you’re currently engaged in?
Saturn in Gate 30 | The Gate of Feelings
It seems apropos that Saturn’s final stop in Aquarius was an emotional one: Gate 30, the Gate of Feelings.
Reflection Prompts:
Gate 30 craves deep emotional investment. Have the past few years brought you any clarity around what (and who) you are the most emotionally invested in? If so, how?
How has your relationship to allowing yourself to feel your feelings changed over the course of the transit? Where are you feeling that adjustment? What has it taught you?
How have you experienced Saturn’s time in Aquarius? Let me know in the comments! And stay tuned for a preview of Saturn in Pisces dropping on the blog and on the podcast tomorrow :)
